  • Which schools are served by Summerhill Community Ministries?
  • For field trips - do parents/guardians need to sign a permission slip for each field trip?

No. Each program requires an application that gives permission for each child to take part in all field trips. By completing one (1) application, a parent or guardian's signature will permit a child to attend all field trips, unless otherwise required.

Click here for a full list of our programs.

  • My child has been accepted into one of the programs. How do I get a daily schedule?

When you sign a child up for a program, the daily schedule will be included with the parent letter. If your child has already been signed up, but you still need a schedule, send us a message from this page to request a schedule.

  • My child is in a program, can I send a snack or lunch?

Even though we provide snacks, we understand that some children have food allergies, or special food preferences. Feel free to send food for your child, labeled with the child's first and last name.

Volunteer Questions

  • As a volunteer, can I just show up on any day that I may be available?

We are excited that you have a heart and the time to volunteer. However, we would need for you to check in with us to schedule a time for you to serve. We don't want to overlap volunteers or not have quite enough for other days. Contact our volunteer coordinator by email.

  • Do volunteers need to fill out any forms?

Yes. New volunteers must submit an application. Volunteer opportunities can be found here. Once you choose a volunteer program, you can submit your application online. If accepted into the program, you will be scheduled do a "meet and greet" and a site visit with the ministry director, before being placed on the volunteer schedule.
Returning volunteers will update their forms in person, before being placed on the volunteer schedule.

  • Do volunteers need to commit on a weekly or monthly basis?

No. We welcome one-time volunteers, as well as daily volunteers. There are so many opportunities to impact a life, we are happy to work with your schedule so you can serve with us.
